O 18o. Congresso e Exposição Internacionais de Tecnologia da Mobilidade SAE BRASIL 2009 será realizado de 06 a 08 de Outubro de 2009 no Expo-Center Norte, em São Paulo.

- Applications
- Numerous new, updated, and demonstration applications for buoyancy-flow, heat transfer and reacting flows; reimplementation of numerous solvers to remove pd and to accommodate new changes to the turbulence modelling (see below); all accompanied by a new range of (re-organised) example cases.
- Post-processing
- Developments of utilities for general post-processing, visualisation and particle tracking; new and improved function objects for on-the-fly post-processing; more sampling functionality particularly for surfaces; updated for ParaView 3.6.1.
- Turbulence modelling
- Development of turbulence model libraries to allow solvers to support both RAS and LES, with wall functions reimplemented so that they are applied on a patch-by-patch basis; new wall function models and detached eddy simulation Spalart-Allmaras models added.
- Thermophysical modelling
- Development of thermophysical modelling to allow non-gas media to be added; addition of generalised polynomial equation of state, thermodynamics and transport models and more flexible reaction chemistry thermodynamics; new finite volume discrete ordinate method for radiation modelling added.
- Lagrangian modelling
- Overhaul of the underlying framework with new structure for variable composition, including several new sub-models added for injection, post-processing and patch interaction, evaporation and coal combustion.
- Direct simulation Monte-Carlo
- Extension of the discrete methods in OpenFOAM to an implementation of the direct simulation Monte-Carlo (DSMC) method.
- Numerics
- Extensive range of polynomial-fit higher-order interpolation schemes added (linear, cubic, quadratic); new polynomial-fit higher-order surface-normal gradient scheme added.
- General use
- Improvements for setup, running and post-processing of OpenFOAM cases, including more command line execution and argument features, and changes to dictionary directives and macro substitutions.

J’ai tardé à vouloir aller le voir et j’avais bien tort, un très très beau film sur le Brésil, sur la difficulté de vivre, de trouver sa place dans cet immense continent pour des gens qui n’ont rien, rien d’autres que leur choix de vie et quelle vie.
Reports on large-eddy simulation
Research involves modeling the large eddies (such as storm fronts, hurricanes and tornadoes in the atmosphere) in turbulent flow, predicting their motion in computational experiments and validating mathematically the large eddy models and algorithms developed. Current approaches to LES seem to be presently confronting some barriers to resolution, accuracy and predictability. It seems likely that many of these barriers can be traced to the mathematical foundation of the models used, the boundary conditions imposed and the algorithms employed for the simulations. The research undertaken is to develop these mathematical foundations as a guide for practical computation. This research promises to make it possible to extend the range of accuracy and reliability of predictions important to applications, such as those described above, where technological progress requires confronting turbulence! Ter 18 anos na cidade grande
A rotina de uma jovem paulistana que estuda em cursinho, trabalha em call center e não dispensa um só museu gratuito.
Na volta para casa, o 967A estava cheio, acho que é porque peguei mais cedo. Lá pelas tantas entrou um mendigo ouvindo um radinho de pilha e cantando. O cara estava alegre à beça, nem ligava para quem o olhava. Cantava todas as músicas com o rádio sintonizado na Gazeta fm. Cantava com verdade, com vontade. Como esta cidade é louca! E como eu gosto daqui. Eu ando sozinha pelas ruas de São Paulo desde os 12 anos, conheço esta cidade como o quintal de casa, e quanto mais eu a conheço, mais me espanto e mais a admiro.
